“ Beautiful and friendly atmosphere. The omakase (fixed course) selection is excellent and delicious. Service is outstanding. Pricey but the quality and the atmosphere is, in my opinion, worth it! ”
“ Had such an amazing dining experience at Sushi YOLO the fish’s as so fresh and each of the omakase courses were carefully selected and served. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable, Alex the owner was so gracious to tell us a little bit about the background of the restaurant and even offered us some free sake in our celebration of life. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend. ”
“ The quality of the food is great, and the service is superB as well. Already recommended it to some omakase-lover friends and will be back myself. The place could use some more work on their "atmosphere" or decoration, but the place is clean and nice, just very simple. Definitely in the top 5 of my Omakase experience. ”
“ A small omakase counter on 57th Street, inside feels spacious for the 12 seats. Our chef was friendly and we enjoyed watching him carefully make each piece. We started with two dishes and then moved on to sushi. The portions were nicely sized with a good fish to rice ratio and some pieces were deliciously marinated, including the tuna and salmon which made the fish even more succulent and tasty. We finished with a hand roll and a bowl of black sesame ice cream. ”
“ If you are looking for a well curated omakase course with sashimi, great cuts of fish and some kitchen items AND a host that makes it an unforgettable experience sushi YOLO delivers ! The ambience is cozy, unpretentious and the chef makes changes for preferences - the focus is completely on making it a great dining experience. Our favorite pieces were sea perch, smoked king salmon, the chutoro/otoro combo and the clam but all 14 pieces in all were great. We will surely come back for more ”
“ We randomly snagged a reservation at this omakase spot, and it exceeded expectations. Though we had a slight delay getting seated, the host gave us a bottle of sake on the house, which was a nice gesture. The 10-course menu was on the pricier side, but the quality of every piece was excellent. Service was outstanding, and both the owner and chef went out of their way to make the experience special — even surprising us with a few of our favorite pieces at the end. ”
“ One of the best hidden gems in Hells Kitchen. Sushi Yolo is an omakase experience like no other — an intimate venue, top of the line creative dishes that rotate seasonally, and most importantly the most welcoming team. It’s become the go-to spot for my family and friends to celebrate milestones in our lives, and it’s always so lovely to have everyone in the venue just as excited to share in our joys. Will definitely be going back! ”
“ I would like you to know that giving 5 stars to this sushi restaurant doesn't give it justice. It is not on the same scale, they might well be 6 stars or 15. The sushi is so good that is an experience I just recommend to make if you can. Trust me, it is a once in a lifetime meal, it is that good, it is a walk to the mountaintop. In addition, the service is also great and the people are very friendly, kind, and accommodating. As I said, 5 stars, it is really the level above. ”
